Total user memory area in the Nokia 6610i is approximately 4 MB. The following features in this phone may share memory: phone book, text and multimedia messages, images and ringing tones in gallery, calendar, to-do notes, and Java games and applications. Using any such features may reduce the memory available for any features sharing memory. This is especially true with heavy use of any of the features (although some of the features may have a certain amount of memory specially allotted to them in addition to the amount of memory shared with other features). For example, saving many images, bookmarks, java apps, etc. may take all of the shared memory and your phone may display a message that the memory is full. In this case, delete some of the information or entries stored in the shared memory features before continuing.
The following functions use shared memory that is dependent on the data quantity per item and shared memory available at a time in the Nokia 6610i phone:
Phone book: Up to 500 contacts with all entries filled in addition to SIM card contacts
SMS messages: Up to 150 text messages or 50 concatenated messages
Calendar notes: Up to 250 maximum-size entries
Fixed ringing tones (11 preset, not removable)
To-do list (up to 30 entries)
The following features share a memory pool:
MMS messages (max size 45 kB per MMS message)
Ringing tones in Gallery (20 preset MIDI tones, all removable)
Images (13 preset, all removable)
Java™ applications (4 preset, max download size 64 kB per application)
Multimedia messaging (MMS) with compatible devices: receive messages containing a text, an audio file and an image; send messages containing images, audio clips and text to other compatible devices.
Mobile Chat: based on standard SMS. All previous written messages from both persons are visible on screen. Chat messages are not saved on the SIM card.
* This product uses shared or static memory for different functions. Shared memory means that the available memory is shared between shared memory functions. When any of these functions is used, there is less available memory for other functions which are also dependent on shared memory. Static memory means that a certain amount of memory is allocated to each static memory function.
Variation in operation times will occur depending on SIM card, network settings and usage. Talk time is reduced by 5% if Enhanced Full Rate is active, and increased by up to 30% if Half Rate is active.
